Valerie Still is married to Robert Lock, and is the mother of Aaron.  The family resides in Powell, Ohio. 

Valerie grew up in Camden, New Jersey, the ninth of ten children. 

Her wide range of accomplishments began with an extraordinary sports career at the University of Kentucky in Lexington as recipient of a Basketball Scholarship.

She lists the following among her achievements:

  • Named two time most Valuable Player (MVP) for the 1997-1998 ABL Championship Series
  • Member of the All-ABL Team (top ten players in the ABL League)
  • Member of Women National Basketball Association (WNBA) -- Washington Mystics
  • Nominated for the Women Sports Foundation 1998 Sportswoman of the Year Award
  • Experienced television actress and one of Italy's most visible sports/television stars
  • Host of her own television show in Italy - "Still Basket"
  • Successful international print model
  • Professional caliber jazz, pop and concert pianist
  • Member of the National Society of Arts and Letters
  • Founder of S.K.I.P. (Valerie Still Kids Improvement Program)
  • Founder of the Valerie Still Foundation
